Wanderlust: Rome – The Eternal City

Since today is a gloomy and rather chilly Sunday here in London, I thought it'd be a great idea to escape for a couple of minutes and share with you some of the photos I took the past couple of weeks.
As you could probably tell by the title, this post is dedicated to the incredibly gorgeous Eternal City – or, as we say it in Italian, La Città Eterna.

If you've never been to Rome before then shame on you – it is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen. Full of history and art, Rome is also known for its amazing gardens, shops and great food. Excuse me while I go and write about how proud I am about my country for having such majestic cities. I absolutely love art and everything else relate to it so it comes with no surprise that Rome is in my top 5 favourite cities of all times – followed by the one and only Florence of course!

Definitely on my list of cities I'd live in, Rome offers a bunch of different things to do on a daily basis aside from sightseeing. Restaurants, museums, exhibitions – even just walking around in Rome is magical. There is literally history and art everywhere you go and I think that's what makes it so precious and special to me.

So yes, this is a very personal post to me and I really hope you'll enjoy this photos so much you'll book a flight right away ;)

Wanderlust: Venice

One of the things I miss the most about Italy is its beautiful and historical cities. There is just too much art and beauty, it's overwhelming.
And today I thought I'd share photos of a city you should definitely go and visit if you're in Italy: Venice.

To be fair, this is not one of my favourite cities, but you have to admit it's too beautiful to not share some photos.
What made this city so special to me is that last time I was there I got to meet one of my closest friends and we spent the whole day walking around and exploring lanes and alleys. The touristic part of the city is not that big at all and we practically did it all in half a day – and still managed to find the time to go shopping and find a gorgeous book shop, as you can tell by the photos. It was absolutely stunning and looked like heaven to me.

Last time I was there I also managed to make a short and awkward vlog that I'll share here as well so you can see a bit more of what we did.
I know I haven't said much about the city, but sometimes photos are better than words.

Wanderlust: New York City

Two years ago, during my exchange year in America, I managed to spend a long weekend in one of the most beautiful cities in the world: New York City.
Unfortunately four days are not enough to even try and visit 1/8 of the whole city, but I still wandered around and went and see a musical in Broadway.

The other day I was looking through my old photos on my computer and stumbled across my USA photo album and thought I'd share some of my shots on the blog. Now if you've never been to NYC before, bare in mind that these photos don't do it justice whatsoever because that city it's just too damn beautiful to be photographed – however I hope you enjoyed these few shots.
I really miss New York City and I look forward to go back there and hopefully spend a bit more time, there's so much to see and I can't wait to explore it.
But, in the meantime, I guess the photos will have to do.

View from a bus window – part 1

If there is one thing I love about public transportations is that they allow you to see parts of the city you didn't know of or places you've never been to. Sometimes, though, you're able to see places you've visited before under a complete different light.

And it's amazing.

That's why I've decided to start taking photos of my bus journeys and share them here with you all. Most of you will be surprised to find out how many places look completely different if seen from a bus window view.

So sit tight and enjoy the ride!
