INTERNSHIP 101: WEEK TWO

So here it is, part two of my internship experience (you can find part one here). I am not gonna lie to you, I should have written this post at least two weeks ago but the past week has been so stressful I literally had no time to do anything that wasn't work related.

After my placement, being back at university has't been as easy as I thought it was gonna be. I have had to catch up on all the lectures I missed, write all the notes (so, so many notes!) and, on top of all that, hand in 10% of my dissertation which has, without a doubt, been the most stressful thing so far.
However, the 10% is finally done and I can relax (for now) and write down this post.

PEACHY DENIM JACKET

If you follow me on Instagram or if you've read my blog before, you've probably already seen this denim jacket.
I bought it back in May and I was so excited to wear it until I realised it was way too hot for me to do it.

As you can probably imagine, I wasn't the happiest girl back then. I finally found something new I absolutely loved and I couldn't even wear it.

However, after months (literally) of warm weather, England decided it was too much and went back to its typical 17°-19° C. Not great for July, of course, but great for me as it means I can wear the jacket in the evening without dying of heat.

So here we have it: the gorgeous denim jacket I have been blabbing about!
It's from (surprise, surprise) ASOS and it's the most beautiful peachy denim jacket with ruffles I've ever seen (or owned for that matter).

LIVING WITH ACNE

Growing up, I was blessed with really good skin.
Never once, during my teenage years, I thought my skin looked gross or that it needed a lot of coverage to make it look smooth and without any imperfections.

But of course, just like most things, I never appreciated how nice my skin looked until I got acne and realised I should have been so thankful for it before.

GUESS WHO'S BACK!

Well hello there.

I guess long time no see?

This has been a long coming post but the past couple of months have been so awful and stressful that I had practically no time to think about my blog, let alone writing a post.

I started off the year with great expectations – lots of posts, content, photos. And everything was so exciting up until the moment I realised my anxiety was taking over my life.
For the longest time my relationship with anxiety has ruined so many great things, but I feel like this year has probably been quite literally the worst one.

I've always been very anxious about everything I do, it is in my nature and I can deal with it. But the pressure of succeeding and finishing my second year of university, friendships going wrong, awful housemates (that story deserves a whole post, trust me!) and the pressure of keeping up a relationship had the best of me and I ended up finishing this academic year with a first overall (yay me!) but a very unwell mind.

A/W16: Trends and DIYs

Autumn (and Fashion Week) is just around the corner and, if you’re into fashion like me, you’ll know it’s that time of the year again where we have to change our wardrobe and start purchasing appropriate items for this Autumn/Winter 2016.

As much as I love fashion, I am still a student on a budget and I even struggle to buy more than a couple of items from Topshop sometimes. However, I realised I don't really have to spend a fortune this year  – some of the trends are so easy to reproduce that all I have to do is just start being creative.

Bad To The Bone

There are times when you're really feeling your outfit and you decide it doesn't matter if the photos you take are blurry or perfect simply because you have to document the fact that you felt great and on point.

Current Favourites & Summer Essentials

Guess who's been buzzing all day because Spain is only three days away?
Still haven't packed, of course, but I've been planning my outfits so I guess that counts?

Even though it's gonna be brief, this little mini holiday is much needed. If I have to be honest, I've had enough of this crappy English weather – and I'm sure it's got nothing to do with the fact I'm from Italy.

I wanted to share a few essentials that I'll be bringing with me to Spain, which also happen to be a few of my current favourites.

These ASOS sandals are my absolute favourite at the moment. I've always been a black sandals kind of girl, but I have to say these ones are so gorgeous I had to get them before they sold out.

Bag is Zara of course and, if you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw it in my latest post. I said it before and I'll say it again, I've never been as obsessed with a bag as I am with this one.

Those amazing sunglasses are Quay Australia and I got the last summer in Topshop. I mean, they just scream me.
Speaking of Topshop, last time I was there my lovely boyfriend got me a silver necklace with his initial written inside the heart – it hasn't left my neck ever since (in case it wasn't obvious!)

And, last but not least, one of my staple essentials for summer is a good book. If there is one thing I can't stand is laying by the sea without something to read. But let's be honest, I'll probably read the one I've got in the photo before I even get on the plane.

Have you got any summer essentials and favourites? Let me know! X

May Wish list: Fashion Inspo

If there is one thing that is changing is my fashion style. Not sure about what it used to be before, but I am well aware of the fact that I now like things I would have never liked before.

To be completely honest, I could easily blame this on two of the biggest mega babes I know (or wish I knew that is): Alexa Chung and Chiara Ferragni.

Whether this is just a phase or the real deal, two of the things I am absolutely loving at the moment are glitter (and boots, but we already knew that!) and patches. Actually, it's safe to say the more the merrier!

High waisted skirts and trousers are, of course, always a must for me. However, I wouldn't mind two or three dresses from the Archive By Alexa collection.

Zara is also absolutely killing at the moment and I'd happily spend all my overdraft in there (if only I wasn't a student, aye).

Chiara is always been one of my favourite babes of all time – and, of course, I couldn't not include at least one of her pieces in this wish list.

As of Miu Miu goes, needless to say they make the absolute best sunglasses in the history of ever. There is no doubt about that.

Overall, my style is changing and (unfortunately) I am loving everything is sight that is way too expensive for me to buy.
May this phase become real one day and not remain a plain, hopeless wish list!

February Wish-List

The month of February is almost over and I decided to share what's on my wish list for this month.
It's not spring yet and I still don't feel the need to mix loads of colours – that's why I opted for a monochrome outfit with just a hint of colour here and there. I absolutely love every single piece and I am so tempted to buy the whole outfit but I know my bank account would hate me if I did, haha!

So there you have it, a perfect mix of Topshop, ASOS, NARS and Too Faced.

I opted for some stripes because I love me some stripes – duh!, also the pointed shoes are a must for me this season as I am trying to rock a more classic look. The bag is an absolutely beauty and so are the dungaree dress and the tailored coat. I obviously couldn't post this outfit without a dark lip – and this NARS shade is just too lovely (and limited edition!). And last but not least the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette has the most wonderful eyeshadows colours I've seen in a long, long time.
