be YOU tiful

Something happened yesterday in Twitter's world and I wanted to talk about it.

Demi Lovato wrote a few tweets that made me a bit angry. It's not that I don't get what she means, it's just that I think she could have expressed it a little bit better.
The thing is I don't understand why she had to judge girls who like to wear makeup or people who make tutorials on the internet. What's wrong with a bit of makeup?
I know that she's only trying to prove the fact that we're beautiful the way we are, but what if I like to wear makeup? What if I enjoy experimenting? What if I don't wear makeup because I'm insecure but just because I think it's fun and I like it?
With all the respect to Miss Lovato, girls – or everyone else for that matter, should be able to do what they want to do without being judged.

If you want to wear makeup, do it. If you don't like it, don't wear it. You like watching tutorials, why is it so wrong? You like making tutorials for other people, I personally thank you.

If I have to be quite honest with you now, I personally don't like my skin. I've been having problems with it and I really like makeup because I can cover it up and feel confident again. I like wearing red lips, I like wearing eyeliner and mascara. I like makeup and I like watching tutorials on the internet. Yet I don't understand why I should feel bad about it.

It's a free world, we should all be able to do whatever we want.

Also I just want to point out the fact that I am in no way saying she shouldn't express her opinion, I just wish she chose a different way to express it. Words hurt, no matter what, and people should count to 100 before speaking.
But then again, that's just my opinion and I wanted to share it.
Please, feel free to comment yours, I'd like to read what you have to say regarding this topic.
