All I Know Now – Carrie Hope Fletcher (Book Review)
I'm not used to write book reviews, mostly because I don't like sharing my books. I don't quite like the idea of someone reading something so personal to me, something that I feel as close as a friend – woah, a bit too cheesy/melodramatic?!, but it's true.
I'd say that 90% of the books I read have helped me going through something, kept me company or entertained me in some other way and I always feel so attached to the characters that I never want to give them away.
But anyways, weirdness aside, today's post is going to be a book review. And the reason why I decided to write it is simple: you need this book in your life. Whether you are a teenage struggling your way through life, or you're an adult wanting to remember some of your teenage years, it doesn't matter because you'll love this book!
To be quite honest, I didn't know whether I was going to like this book or not. During the past year I've seen so many YouTubers/Vloggers brining out books that I didn't enjoy at all. Not because they're rubbish, but simply because they weren't my cup of tea. I'm not gonna go too much in detail and talk about those books because it's not why I am writing this post, but when I read that Carrie was going to publish a book I decided to give it go.
Why? I don't really know, I guess it was both the fact that she's a bit of a bookworm like me and the fact that the book was not going to be fiction, but more of a collection of experiences, situations, mistakes and advices.
I can't really tell you what to expect without giving it away.
To me, it was a walk down memory lane, remembering some episodes from my teenage years, situations I'd forgotten and others I didn't want to remember. It was funny and entertaining, a really good read if you ask me.
If you're looking for a classic then that's not the book for you, I'm afraid. But if you like manuals (or if you're a teen in need of one – and yes, you do need one!) and you like a light read then do yourself a favour and buy this book. You'll laugh a lot and, if you're even a bit like me, you'll enjoy all those Disney and Harry Potter references.
From love to bullies, from firsts to friends, this book talks you through what teens (and everyone else too!) struggle the most showing you that you are not alone and that everybody else is feeling exactly the way you do.
Personally I read it in less than a day and really enjoyed it, both the content of it and the way Carrie wrote it – almost feels like you're watching one of her videos and chatting to a friend at the same time. So yes, this book might not be everyone's cup of tea but it surely gets a big thumbs up from me.
Awh I really like this review - and I totally understand about not wanting to share your books with people. Books are such close friends and pretty much like a reflection of your mind, to me. I might actually give this one a go, I really like Carrie's YT channel, and to know that her book is written in the same way (well why wouldn't it be...) is just the icing on the cake, really.

Thanks love!
DeleteAnd yes, I totally understand. I was skeptical and didn't know whether to buy it or not because of all the other YouTubers' books I didn't like, but I like Carrie's videos so much and I'm glad I decided to give it a go. Such a fun read and I think you'll love it :) xx
